The Mamie Bourgeois Memorial Award is named in honor of the late Mamie Bourgeois, a longtime classified employee at Nicholls State University and a charter member of the Amigas Club.

Each year, the Amigas Club presents the award at the annual Classified Personnel Service Awards Program at Nicholls. A committee selected from Nicholls faculty, staff, and members of the respective organizations selects employee awards.  The recipient is awarded a plaque in recognition of their outstanding service.
